How This Update Affects You…
For Super Administrators and Owners:
- Updates to Custom Fields to improve end-user experience
- Minor updates to the way custom fields function to improve overall functionality, including the ability to add multiple items for the select list and multiselect list custom field types and an error message when attempting to delete a custom field currently in use by groups.
- Bugs were fixed that were impacting the way text fields were created, as well as converting a text field to a select or multiselect list.
For All Users:
- Updates to various security measures
- To foster a safer environment, we have implemented some security changes. Now, the user is limited to 5 attempts to successfully login before being temporarily locked out. When logged in, duplicate login sessions are no longer permitted. Additionally, the LMS itself will time-out after 1 hour of inactivity, prompting the user to log in again.
What Changed?
This update primarily focused on updating security measures in order to create a more secure environment for SafetySkills users of all user types. This included limiting the number of times a user may attempt to log in to 5 before being locked out for a period of time. Additionally, users may only have one active login session at a time, meaning that users cannot be logged in simultaneously across multiple tabs or across multiple browsers. Additionally, the LMS has an overall inactivity timeout of 1 hour before prompting the user to log in again.
For Super Administrators and Owners, changes were also made to improve the functionality of the custom fields feature. Previously, when creating a select list or multiselect list custom field, only single items could be added at a time. With this update, users will be able to add multiple items to a select list or multiselect list custom field at a time. Additionally, the system will now generate an error message when attempting to delete a custom field that is currently in use by the groups feature.
